Eurohire are always looking for dedicated professional freelance engineers to become part of the team, sound, lighting, staging, and backline. If you can drive that’s a bonus especially 7.5 ton trucks as the majority of our work is with these vehicles. If you have production, electrical or rigging qualifications these are always useful. If you are interested, please email your CV to Jools then phone and pop in for a tea and a chat. We also offer work experience placements. We are registered with Trident and The Consortium. Placements last for a week, the students involved with various warehouse duties, including prep and de-prep of equipment, loading and unload trucks etc lunch is provided and if we have any events on during the week you can normally go along for a first hand experience of a gig.

Merv ( The boss) He has been in the music business over forty years. He has extensive experience of touring, events management and production. He has overseen Eurohire since it's inception in 1982. Eurohire’s most recent move was to their current premise in Basingstoke in 2004 and the start up of Swervjam Rehearsal Studios on the premise.

Jools (Operations Manager) is nearly the longest employee Merv has ever had, been with Eurohire for over eleven years. Runs the company on Merv’s behalf and is chief cook and bottle washer. He has over eighteen years experience of sound engineering, does lights, qualified electrician, BTEC in Production, entertainments rigger and all round good guy. Been Married for fifteen years and has two beautiful daughters.
Tim (Head of Sound) has been with Eurohire for three years. Numerous events and tours under his belt. Works well in the warehouse and a great engineer on the road , always up for a challenge and thinks outside the box.
Iain (Head of lighting) Woody as he is known to his friends is the newest member of the Eurohire staff. He has worked for various companies in and around reading and comes to Eurohire with lots of ideas. He loves rock and roll and touring so is ideally suited to Eurohire.
Rowan (Technician) is the youngest member of the team. She started young helping promote events in and around Basingstoke, went to BCOT and studied music tech and then joined Eurohire. She is a fast learner and has done numerous gigs and events with us already. She also works at Swervjam covering various sessions.
Andy (Service Engineer) has been with Eurohire since the start almost! Works part time and has his own work shop in Fleet. If Andy can't fix it no one can, he's great with everything and loves old valve gear.
